Phoenix Colleges and Universities

If a big city and endless sunshine are on your list of college town musts, consider Phoenix, AZ. The city is under sunny skies approximately 85 percent of the year, and receives very little rainfall. In addition to an ideal climate, Phoenix is within easy reach of a number of parks and natural areas. For those who prefer to stay in the city, Phoenix is home to several museums, theaters and nightlife opportunities.

Many students choose Phoenix colleges and universities for the weather and laid back Arizona attitude. Arizona State University is the largest school in the Phoenix area, with an enrollment of almost 60,000 students. Arizona State has a reputation of attracting fun-loving students who know how to have a good time. Other Phoenix colleges and universities include Grand Canyon University, the only private, for-profit Christian university in the country, and the headquarters of the University of Phoenix, which has over 130 campuses across the US.
