The splendor of Arkansas' abundant recreational treasures is celebrated by the state's nickname, "The Natural State." The flagship school, University of Arkansas, has college campuses throughout the state, in Fayetteville, Pine Bluff, Fort Smith, Monticello, Morrilton, and Little Rock. Other popular schools include Arkansas State University, located in Jonesboro, and Henderson State University, in Arkadelphia. When school is out of session, Arkansas's students enjoy camping and hiking in the Ozarks, visiting hot springs and caves, or soaking up country music.
