Guide to Atlanta: Nightlife & Entertainment

Hot-lanta's Vibrant Nightlife

With the nickname "Hotlanta" you know there will be a scorching nightlife scene in this star of the South. Plus, with one of the country's highest student populations, the nightlight stays young, hip, and vibrant.

Must See: Live Performances

Atlanta is full of live performances. The most popular acts usually perform in the Phillips Arena, the Gwinnett Center, Hi-Fi Buys Amphitheater, or Chastain Park. Smaller venues at clubs around the city offer more intimate showings of local artists.

Kick Up Your Heels in Atlanta's Club Scene

One of the city's best-known assets is its club scene. In Midtown, Peachtree Street and Crescent Avenue entice a trendy and fashionable crowd. With tons of bars and clubs in the same small area, people can stay out all night hopping from one club to another easily.

Buckhead sparkles after dark with theatres, comedy shows, and live performances-- mixed in with bars and clubs providing enough variety to entertain even the most daring socialite. Buckhead bars are infamous and diverse--from upscale martini bars to Irish pubs to pool hall dives, barhopping here is ideal along Peachtree, Paces Ferry, and Roswell Road. Recently, however, concerned residents passed an ordinance requiring bars to close their doors at 3 am.

For a younger, more punk-friendly area popular with students, try Little Five Points, around the intersection of Euclid and Moreland.

No matter where you go in Atlanta, you won't be disappointed by the nightlife.
