Bitsy Grant Tennis Center offers 13 clay courts for public use. Piedmont Park also maintains 12 lighted hard courts for tennis enthusiasts to enjoy.

Basketball Coach Lenny Wilkens of the Atlanta Hawks coached the U.S. Olympic men's basketball team. On the football field, the Falcons have achieved success, going to the league playoffs seven times.

A young hockey team, the Atlanta Thrashers debuted only 7 years ago. The team is backed by Ted Turner, a strong supporter of Atlanta sports.
