Guide to Dallas: Nightlife & Entertainment
A Haven for Night Owls
Dallas is well-known for its nightlife and for those who enjoy getting out. Whether for dancing or live music--it is an excellent place to live. The Dallas metro area offers night owls an incredible variety of clubs, bars, and restaurants.
Treats and Tunes in Deep Ellum
Deep Ellum, for example, is considered a prime Dallas hotspot for blues, jazz, and modern rock--as well as its eateries. Once a hub of black American businesses in the late 19th century, Deep Ellum became a destination for blues and jazz musicians. Some of the best of the blues artists, men like Robert Johnson and Blind Lemon Jefferson, made Deep Ellum the place to perform in Dallas. Now it is known for its restaurants and nightclubs such as The Elbow Room and Santiago's Cantina.
West End Entertainment
Upper and Lower Greenville Avenue are also popular destinations for Dallas nightlife. Fine dining in some of the best restaurants in town can be found on Greenville Avenue, along with premier nightclubs and bars. More great restaurants are located in Dallas' historic West End district, where the atmosphere takes visitors back in time to the turn of the 20th century.
More Dallas To Do’s
North Dallas boasts trendy watering holes like Muddy Waters and The Old Crow, both of which also feature live music. The Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex is also a great place to attend live country and western music performances. The White Elephant Saloon and Back Forty are great places in Fort Worth to catch live country music any night of the week.
Dallas and its surrounding area presents a wide range of entertainment appealing to virtually any visitor or resident.
