Mission Statement

OUR PHILOSOPHY CCD is a comprehensive, student and learning-centered urban college. It provides open access and admission to a diverse population. CCD offers lifelong learning opportunities anyway, anyplace and anytime, along with the appropriate academic and personal support to any learner who asks for help to achieve success. CCD students are full partners in a collaborative learning experience. Educated people make an impact on the economy, their local communities and the nation. CCD continually studies the local economy to provide appropriate transfer educational and occupational programs that meet community and workforce needs and create positive change in individual learners. CCD'S MISSION STATEMENT The mission of the Community College of Denver (CCD) is to provide open access and quality undergraduate education through a process and experience that affords every student the opportunities and services to succeed, graduate with a two-year degree and transfer to a four-year institution to complete a baccalaureate degree or join the workforce. Programs and strategies that promote access and success for underserved students are the foundation of CCD operations.
