Columbus Colleges and Universities

Columbus is Georgia's third-largest city, and students of Columbus colleges and universities enjoy the amenities, employment, and recreation opportunities of this vibrant and growing community. The Chattahoochee River provides the backdrop to the River Walk, one of the city's most popular leisure activities. Sports fans in Columbus enjoy the city's South Commons Complex, a multi-use facility featuring a civic center, football and softball stadiums. In 1996, the city was proud to be the Olympic venue for the Women's Fastpitch Softball competition.

Columbus colleges and universities offer students a range of educational opportunities with numerous courses and programs. Columbus State University enrolled about 7,600 undergraduate and graduate students in fall of 2007. Unlike students of larger schools in nearby Atlanta, students of Columbus colleges and universities enjoy a smaller enrollment and personalized attention from educators.
