Mission Statement

The purpose of Allen County Community College is to make quality education and support services available in a caring atmosphere to all who seek them within the service area. Based on the belief that learning and self-improvement are continuous processes, the College is committed to providing a wide range of educational programs to assist all students in reaching their academic, occupational, and personal potential at a reasonable cost. Through this commitment, Allen County Community College shall endeavor to: * Provide degree programs that closely parallel the first two years of a baccalaureate program. * Provide vocational/technical degree programs for students seeking employment. * Provide the training necessary to upgrade work skills. * Provide developmental education for students in need. * Provide courses for personal development and enrichment. * Promote diversity within the student body, administration, faculty, and staff. * Provide social, intellectual, cultural, and recreational activities to enrich the environment of the students and citizens within the service area. * Provide effective advisement, counseling, and other support services for all students. * Provide opportunities for students to compete in intercollegiate activities. * Promote economic development within the service area. * Provide safe, comfortable facilities conducive to learning. * Provide a continuous program of institutional assessment to ensure quality, effectiveness, and relevance.
