Mission Statement

The mission of the University of New Hampshire at Manchester (UNHM) is to provide access to public higher education to people who live and work in the greater Merrimack Valley Region of the State of New Hampshire. UNH Manchester fulfills this mission by: Offering selected liberal arts and professional degree programs at the associate, baccalaureate and graduate levels with special emphasis on programs which address urban issues and Providing transfer opportunities for students who wish to begin their education at UNH Manchester and complete their degree requirements on the main campus of the University of New Hampshire in Durham or at other USNH institutions. The College is founded on a strong liberal arts base and is dedicated to excellence in teaching. In addition to its own offerings, programs from UNH Durham enrich its academic core. UNH Manchester also values collaboration and has fostered articulation with area colleges and other USNH institutions.
