The mission of the Art Institute of New York City is to provide the highest quality education enhanced by the best customer service and to graduate students whose industry-related skills enable them to realize their greatest potential. The Art Institute of New York City strives to be a leader in providing postsecondary education programs that prepare students for careers in their chosen fields. The Art Institute of New York City graduates are trained for entry-level positions through concentrated, highly structured programs of study that reflect the needs of a changing job market. Curricula are taught by faculty who are, or have been, working professionals in an environment that encourages free expression and leadership. A co-educational, non-sectarian, independent post-secondary school, the Art Institute of New York City believes in the worth and potential of each student. It strives to provde quality programs and services that foster the develoment of that worth and potential through the acquisition of skills supporting occupational growth, including employer expectations. The Art Institute of New York City strives to graduate culinary artists, hospitality professionals, art design professionals, fashion design professionals and video production professionals, whose work is marked by excellence, and who brings their professions and the communities of which they are members, the qualities of integrity and social responsibility, the exercise of judgement, the receptivity to new ideas, the respect for differences, and enthusiasm for learning.
