Looking for a Midwestern college town that offers a bit of nightlife and culture? Ohio offers all the big-city trappings of culture, dining, nightlife, and outdoor recreation. The Buckeye State has an abundance of rivers and lakes, as well as major symphonies, rock concert halls, professional sports teams, and microbreweries. Cleveland is home to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Ohio's college and university system offers a bit of history and diversity. Columbus, the state's largest city, is historic home to Ohio State University, founded in 1870. Ohio's Oberlin College, founded in 1833, was the first American school to allow women, and was the first coed college in the land. All tolled, Ohio is home to more than 200 public and private colleges and universities.
