Mission Statement
At King's, students use the words 'friendly' and 'welcoming' to describe the school. There's a strong sense of community here, fostered over our 50 years history by the Congregation of Holy Cross from the University of Notre Dame. King's was established as a small liberal arts college with the purpose of educating the children of miners and mill workers. Today we offer a challenging academic program, with a foundation in the liberal arts and professional programs that prepare you for successful careers in exciting fields. Our student-centered curriculum is guided by the Office of Student Affairs, whose goal it is to promote the complete education of our students - both intellectually and personally. We are a Catholic institution but students of all faiths and backgrounds will benefit from this strong, caring and nurturing environment where you'll learn about responsibility and commitment, and how to lead a life of purpose.School Characteristics
