Mission Statement

Reading Area Community College, serving Berks County, is a publicly-supported, comprehensive community college which awards the Associate in Arts, the Associate in Applied Science and the Associate in General Studies degrees. Certificates and diplomas in employment fields are awarded as well. The mission of the college is to provide the following: * The first two years of a Bachelor's degree * Career education for immediate employment * Courses to assist in the transition from high school to college * Community education and public service activities, and * Training for area business and industry The College strives to do so within an atmosphere that is open, supportive, safe and responsive to the needs of students and of the community.
