Puerto Rico Colleges and Universities
The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico is comprised of one large and several smaller islands set amidst the sparking blue waters of the West Indies. Located at the northern end of the large island, San Juan is the capital of the commonwealth, and its largest city. Established as a tourist destination in the Greater Antilles, Puerto Rico is renowned for its almost 300 miles of sugary white beaches, San Juan's colonial architecture and flavor, and an international rum producing industry. San Juan offers extensive restaurants, shops, historical exhibits, museums, and a tireless musical nightlife.
The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico is home to The University of Puerto Rico, founded in 1903 in Rio Piedras, and Metropolitan University, with a main campus in San Juan and branches in Aguadilla, Bayamon.
