Mission Statement

The Mission of Fairmont State University is to provide opportunities for individuals to achieve their professional and personal goals and discover roles for responsible citizenship that promote the common good. The Mission of Pierpont Community and Technical College* is to provide opportunities for learning, training, and further education that enrich the lives of individuals and promote the economic growth of our service region and state. *To recognize the importance of the community and technical college to the state of West Virginia, Pierpont Community and Technical College, a division of the university, has developed a separate mission statement.
